Wellwritten and well researched article. Two points not mentioned are:

1--the significant shading of large areas around the proposed development, including homes, schools,
parks ,and boulevards ,all of which will be deprived of vital sunlight

2--the voice of neighbourhood residents is almost totally disregarded as the City, without ANY
pre-election announcement ,decides to replace the neighbourhood development concept with the

People need to stand up and ignore stupid laws. I parked my car and paid the machine but still god a parking ticket because the cap was blue and that means it's for handicaps. There was no clear sign stating that this was a handicap parking. The government just steals from the people.

I agree with rod-sense, prices are and will continue to come down. What people don't realizes is that while home prices have gone through the roof, Salaries have not. So, it is only a matter of time before Realtors will start to look for another line of work.

The 3 most substantial costs in any family, Home, Transportation, and food are at an all time high. The population in Vancouver will only get into more and more debt and we will shortly see a wave of bankruptcy claims by people who haven't even hit 40.

I would suggest, for everyone to hold on to your money, Don't buy real state now, force the people who think they can sell their Garbage for a million dollars.

Well, What Can I say. Everyone in this town is trying to get rich on the sale of their homes. The trouble is that the Times are changing and if you want to sell your home, you are just going to have to drop your prices and come back down to earth. The Average Joe, can not afford a $600,000 mortgage. It is evident by the drop in sales and interest from prospective buyers.

I sold for a good buck, now I am just waiting for the prices to continue to come down before making my next purchase.

And Believe me, they are and will continue to come down.

Did you ever post an update on this lawsuit? I am currently going through a similar situation where we purchased a property to fix up and eventually sell; the property was advertised as being 2003 sq ft and when we listed it for sale discovered it is actually only 1767 sq ft. Thanks!
